Found Money
Many people are surprised to learn that they have upwards of $100-$200 lying around the house in old purses, glass jars, couch cushions and more. A little organizing goes a long way in uncovering these “buried treasures.” Working with clients, we often uncover refund, rebate and, dividend checks that are hiding in unopened envelopes. Additionally, un-used gift cards are often unearthed – and can be used before they expire.
Saved Money
When you can find what you already have, there is no need to buy a duplicate. Save time and money (no last minute trips to the grocery store) only to purchase an item you already have. No need to replace lost documents such as birth certificates, passports and transcripts. Save late fee charges on your bills and improve your credit score – this one is HUGE.
Earned Money
Resale Items – I can help stage a tag/garage sale, suggest items for sale on Craig’s List or E-Bay or return unopened items for store credit. Items can also be donated to your favorite charity in exchange for a tax write-off.
Prevent Loss from Theft – Protect What You Own
Sadly, when the economy takes a nose dive, property theft often rises. Are you parking your car on the street while your garage “protects” your broken fish tank, outdated books, clothing and sports equipment? Purging and organizing your garage with Alys as your guide will allow you to park your car where it belongs. It will stay warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer and be protected from the elements. The paint will last longer. And it will be safe from break-ins or outright theft.
